Tikkun Olam means “repairing the world”. Temple Beth El members are very active in our community.  We prepare meals at Dorothy’s Place, providing for the homeless and less fortunate.  We are also the principal Bell Ringers for the Salvation Army on Christmas Eve, freeing up Christian members of the community to share the Holiday with their families.  Our Kosher-Style Luncheon has been part of the Salinas landscape for 60 years, allowing everyone in the area to celebrate the Jewish religion and culture. We sell approximately 6,500 pastrami and corned beef sandwiches in one day, providing Jewish outreach of the most delicious kind.
